To save disk space, DeskTape automatically removes its directory file from your startup volume if the tape drive is disconnected or turned off. Check this box to always keep the directory file.
Files with custom icons take MUCH more time to display in the Finder views. Icons only get stripped as new files are copied to the tape. To strip existing icons, delete the files and re-copy. DO NOT use Cut or Paste with icons on a tape.
